The data can also be displayed as octal, binary or decimal values, by choosing the desired format in the <guimenu>View</guimenu> menu.</para> <para>The offset column on the left indicates the position of a particular byte in the file. The text field on the right displays the <acronym>ASCII</acronym> encoding of the file. The cursor position and edits in the data editor window are reflected in the text field.
